.Mini Poppy.

It's been awhile since my last pattern release...my longest gap by far. I blame it on a combination of needing a bit of breathing space away from work-related sewing and then morning sickness putting an end to anything creative for a few months!
I'm happy to say that I'm back and at it and have a brand new pattern to share with you just in time for the holidays when you will hopefully have a bit of free time to sit down at the sewing machine and get creative!
You will probably notice that this pattern looks very similar to another pattern of mine, the Poppy Tunic - I had a requests for it in kids sizes too and agreed that it would be a gorgeous dress for girls - and a great style for older girls to wear too.

So, here it is - the Mini Poppy:
Based on the popular women’s Poppy Tunic pattern, the Mini Poppy is a delightful dress for girl’s that is oozing style.
With front and back chest insert panels and a stylish bottom trim, you can easily incorporate a “pop” of your favourite printed fabric, combined with a steady solid to tone things down.
If bright and happy is your style, why not pairing two prints in place of the solid for extra wow-factor.
The Mini Poppy can easily be worn all the way from Summer to Winter and is a practical, comfortable dress for all girls, young and old.
Mini Poppy comes in two size ranges, catering for sizes 6 months to 10 years. You'll find more information about Mini Poppy on the Make It Perfect website. If you are looking for a place to purchase a copy of the pattern for yourself, take a look at our stockist or ask your favourite store to order one in for you.

If you would like to win a copy of this new pattern, simply leave a comment on this blog post!
(Please make sure you leave an email address with your comment.  Giveaway will close Monday 17th December and winner will be drawn at random).

  1. Oh how GORGEOUS!

I can just imagine my 2 wearing this dress till it's threadbare.... so I'll just have to make a several!

Hmm... my favourite thing about winter is that it's not hot! Sooo much easier to get warm than it is to cool down in the stinking hot days of summer.

  49. I'm hyperventilating....LOVE the pattern and will definitely be buying it if/when my number doesn't come up ;-)
It's hard to think about winter when it's so hot here in Australia, but I love letting my kids get completely wet and muddy in their boots and old clothes and then getting them lovely and clean again in a warm soapy bath. Followed by snuggles and stories on the couch with mugs of milo :-)
