.autumn pinny.

We had a home-day today. I love home days. We were meant to go to playgroup at church, but its been ages since we have just been able to stay at home and do whatever so I thought it might be nice to stay at home and catch up on housework and other bits and pieces. Lil has been much better today, has a bit of a temperature on and off but has been generally happy.

So we just played and made a mess all morning and then when the kids went to bed I cleaned up and sat down to a bit of sewing just for fun. I have had this light-weight corduroy swimming around in my fabric box for a few years now and haven't had a project suitable to use it. It caught my eye as I was hunting around this morning and I instantly envisioned an autumn pinny for Lil.

I used my original pinny pattern, but as I wasn't using contrasting fabrics I did away with the tiers and added a tight ruffle at the bottom for a bit of detail. I like it, I can picture her now in it with her leg warmers underneath! Will be sure to take some piscs.

Thanks heaps for all of your teething/nappy rash comments and advice yesterday...lots of food for thought! Cornflour is working a treat at the moment so I'm hoping we've found a winner and she doesn't become immune to it after a few days!
