.Bouncer revamped.

I love our baby bouncer. We bought it when Oscar was born and it is still going strong.

It is the old-fashioned wire frame, net type - the same that Mum used for her babies. You can still buy them brand new though - goes to show how awesome they are!

The only problem is, it is UGLY. This is it...I would always throw a blanket over it for a bit of extra padding. It is such a pain when you want to put the baby down though and find that someone has gone walk about with the blanket! I've been thinking for ages that I should just sew up some kind of a cover to keep on it and finally got around to it yesterday.
Ta da! Looks MUCH better, don't you think? I used funky Ikea fabric and padded it with a layer of left-over quilt wadding I had in the cupboard. The back is the same as the front so if it gets grubby I just have to flip it over and then wait for the second side to get dirty before having to wash it!
And the little man looks pretty pleased with it!
I'm off to join him for a quick nap while everyone is asleep!

It looks great! My mum made one to cover our bouncer (that was originally mine when I was a baby) when Liam was a baby. Bouncers are great for little ones!

Love the cover. Mum and Dad still have their bouncer from when we were kids and is still in good condition!

the new ones baby bounder carry cot affair with handles are on the same principle as the old net job like yours... just a bit flasher..and cost a packet more to buy...i like your idea ..so girls off to the garage sales and save heaps ...he he

Great idea. My kids all used the same style bouncer but it didn't look as pretty as yours! They are a lifesaver during witching hour(s)

What a fantastic idea! I did a similar thing with our kiddie stroller a couple of months ago, but never even considered the bouncer.

I have that bouncer too --- I love the cover --- I think you should include some more detailed instructions on how to make it
