Anyway, I digress...here is the Cosmo Bag:
There are a lot of details I am really enjoying about this bag...the big exterior side pockets are perfect for stashing keys, your phone, other bits and pieces that always get lost in the bottom of your bag. I especially love the little strip of contrasting fabric at the top of the pocket that also makes up the pocket lining.
And the closure is something I have never seen before, the pointed end and chunky loop add a funky look to the bag. The button is supposed to be fabric covered but I didn't have any big enough. This blue button was my "makeshift" button, but it has grown on me and I think I'll keep it there.
It also gets my "big bag" tick of approval! I am really pleased with the fabric I chose for this bag. Erin McMorris is one of my very favourite fabric designers and I don't think she gets enough praise for her awesome work. I wanted this bag to have a bit more of a classy look, but still funky - so that I could take it to the beach or out for dinner and the green is really making me happy :)

Fabulous bag. The colours are amazing and 'pop' out. I too love a great big bag that holds heaps of kid stuff. I've just about had enough of my Birdie Sling and am ready to dive into another bag. This one looks just perfect.

Please tell me it is not as hard as the burst sling. I still haven't recovered from that one, even with you and Mel helping me out every step of the way. Lol.

What a great bag, and a great size! It's the sort of size I use to carry the kid's school bags, water bottles, lunch bags, coats, hats etc. You know what I mean, the usual paraphernalia kids 'dump' on you as they run out the school gates before the long walk up the hill home (at east that's what my 3 do, Hmmm and I let them!). Why not have a bag Giveaway, I have no doubt all your lovely 'sewing-ista' Followers would treasure them! :)

Well it seems other had the same thought as me...to give away your bags you aren't using any more. I have a bunch of purses that don't have interfacing because I was "trying the pattern" and hardly use them and I thought of doing the same thing. Could be fun! And your bag is awesome. Love your fabric combo
I am just finishing this bag up and so far it has been pretty painless, except the directions for the button loop totally stumped me. THANK GOODNESS I found your delightful blog and saw real pics of it. Seriously I was going cross-eyed trying to figure it out. Now just by looking at yours I know what to do :) Thanks!!
PS - I am also tiring of the Birdie Sling. As fun as it looks, it has become the bermuda triangle for my stuff :)
