.Things I'm Crushing...Bright Doors.

We're a bit house-crazy over here at the moment (actually, being married to an architect is always house-crazy!) We (that should actually say "he") are dreaming, planning, designing, pricing our next home.  We have a contract on some land and have lots to get organised before anything happens (like selling our home first!) but in preparation for the next stage, I've been thinking about the little things that I want our new house to include.
If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you'll know I'm partial to a bit of colour and at the moment I'm really loving bright doors.  Especially when the pop of colour appears unexpectedly on an interior door - funky!  And maybe something we will be including in the new pad...

What would your "pop of colour" door be?

Love them all! Especially the pop of colour with the grey walls. We had a new back door put on at our old home and it was a turquoise colour and hadn't been painted yet, I totally wanted to leave it that colour it looked so cool. Yep, totally crushing bright doors too right now!

So not the grey but I love the other colours - red, aqua, orange, goldy yellow - all delicious! Girl, bright colours, you are talking my language!

Not too fussed with the pale pink .... but I don't mind the rest. Haven't actually thought about what colour I'd have if I had a brightly coloured door. Don't mind the orange ... it's different.

I just LOVE those overhead hanging doors in two of your pics! I know you can get them new, but an old one from a farm building would be even better. And, yes....any of those bright colors would be welcome in my place.

Oooh yes. Makes me want to paint all my doors now. They all look so amazing.

I like dark with contrasting light. Navy doors with clean white trim or walls. I love the idea of a guest bath or room being a colored door, "bathroom is the yellow door" etc. I love the 'color blocking' pop of color idea but I am probably too traditional to take the plunge.

Ooh so pretty- especially the jewel toned ocean colors and yellows. :)

That yellow sliding door is gorgeous! I love pops of colour. They add such character. I would love a bright blue poor somewhere in my house one day :D

Well as you know I'm not really a colour girl, like it elsewhere just struggle to have it myself! Therefore I prefer the brown/black 2. The pink one looks like a block of pink chocolate!!!

It’s between these three: aqua blue, yellow, and orange. ^__^ A sliding door would look cool for a kitchen. No matter which one you choose, make sure that the material of the door is worth every penny. Find doors that would be sturdy and functional.

I like the third to the last photo because it shows how a bright color can elevate the appeal of a certain room. If you’re a bubbly person, you’ll definitely go with the orange door rather than the plain white one. Well, I’m fine having an orange entry or bedroom door. Why not, right? :D
