.MIP Pattern Parade: SKIRT AS TOP.

I love a bit (well, a lot) of selfish sewing - it's fun to sew for the kids but really, sewing something for yourself that you will actually wear is such a satisfying feeling! And knowing that it is going to fit you for more than a year is good motivation to put in the effort too!! When my Pattern Parade girls were selecting their patterns to sew, over three-quarters of them picked women's patterns!
Today Kristin from Skirt As Top joins us in the parade - I've been reading Kristin's blog for awhile now and I love her style. She is a mother of three and sews a lot for her children, but lately Kristin's selfish sewing has escalated and it looks as though she has caught the bug!! (Not a bug that you want to get rid of though!)
Kristin is modelling a beautiful Shearwater Kaftan that she made with this dreamy Nani IRO double gauze. I know from Shearwater Kaftan + double gauze combo experience that it only gets better with time and will end up being a very well worn shirt. Say hello to Kristin and read more about her experience with sewing her Shearwater Kaftan. Kristin is also hosting a giveaway to win a Make It Perfect PDF pattern so make sure you enter today!
