.Serendipity - a new winter coat!.

Brrr...it's cold!  Still plenty of time to get stuck into some Winter sewing and I've just finished up designing my latest pattern - a super trendy little girl's coat:

Serendipity
Playing outside is only fun when you are warm and the Serendipity coat is designed to keep you warm - and looking good!
Featuring cute pleat detail in the front and back, Serendipity is a stylish double-breasted coat with a sweet Peter Pan collar and side pockets to keep those little hands warm.
Serendipity is a gorgeous coat guaranteed to brighten up any drab, rainy day.
I thought it was about time to introduce a new girl's winter coat/jacket to the Make It Perfect range. Serendipity is classy and sophisticated and most importantly - warm, warm, warm!
Serendipity comes in two size ranges, catering for sizes 6 months to 10 years. You'll find more information about Serendipity on the Make It Perfect website. If you are looking for a place to purchase a copy of the pattern for yourself, take a look at our stockists or ask your favourite store to order one in for you.

A massive THANKYOU to Makayla Graham Photography (blog here/facebook here) for the beautiful photos - she did an amazing job with them at our favourite funky farm and we were blessed with a small opening of clear weather on a super rainy day!  Thanks Makayla :)

If you would like to win a copy of this new pattern, simply leave a comment on this blog post telling us what you love most about Winter!
(Please make sure you leave an email address with your comment.  Giveaway will close Monday 23rd July and winner will be drawn at random).

I love those crisp clear days of winter, cold but sunny. I love wrapping up warm to go outside and then coming indoors to a cosy fire!

Ooh!! First comment!! What a gorgeous coat. I just made my daughter an Uptown Girl. But a girl can never have too many coats right?? I love winter because you can always put on more layers to get warm, whereas in the heat of summer, there's only so many layers you can take off before the police get you :)

I love being able to take long walks without feeling hot and breathless at the end. (I also love hot soup, rain on the roof, and warm heaters).

So many things to love about winter as I read through all the previous comments but best of all is the wonder and joy my children show and share with me over simple things like a heavy frost. I'm sure if left to my own devices I would snuggle all winter and knit and eat soup everyday buty little ones make me do things like go out extra early to examine the ice crystals on the car or see how much Ice they can find frozen in puddles and toy trucks - and I must say their enthusiasm to nature warms me.
Great coat pattern Toni. I recently found a lovely purple woolen blanket at the op shop that I am planning to turn into coats for my girls ( for next winter)

Oh could you share the name of the fabric that the coat is made in - its stunning

what I love about Winter here in Central Queensland is that sometimes I can find a sunny spot in my garden to warm up....doesn't get into single figures temperatures here often or for long. smiles and thanks for the chance to win the pattern for the gorgeous coat.

I so wish I had been able to test this pattern. It looks great and looks warm.

For me, winter is a great time to snuggle up under a blanket or a quilt.

A gorgeous coat on a gorgeous model. Love the material you used on this one too!

Favourite thing about winter... rugging up in winter warm layers!

Fantastic! I love the Uptown girl pattern and love this one too AND that you have the bigger girl sizes (10), my miss 6 is a giant and it's so hard to keep her looking her age.

My favourite thing about winter when I was in my 20's and lived in NZ was rugging up and taking the neighbours dog for a walk on a west coast beach like Piha or Bethells (my fav). Really cleared the cobwebs away and made you feel alive. Then I would race home and have a hot shower and a hot choc or a Baileys... Now, just happy to do some hand stitching in front of the fire and a movie with my daughter.

Winter...I love making my children hot cocoa when they come in from the snow with their pink cheeks.

If it's a crisp, sunny winter's day i love to catch up with my girlfriends for a glass of wine (red to keep you warm) and just hang...if it's a cold wet day there's nothing better than snuggling with my hubby under the doona watching our favourite tv shows. Winter or summer..it's about being with the ones you love.

Toni it is gorgeous! I I have made Uptown for my daughter who just turned 7 today. Unfortunatly it doesn't fit her anymore, but will definitely buy this pattern. What do I love about winter? Rugging up in jackets, boots and scarves. Comfort food and sitting in my chair crocheting things for my loved ones.

Set a budget. Winter coats for kids come in a wide range of prices, depending on the fabric of the coat. Goose-down coats tend to be a bit more expensive, while lined jackets are simple and usually inexpensive. Setting a budget ahead of time means you won't be tempted to buy something out of your price range
